Blue winner of RISE award
On the Esomar stage in Athens, we received the RISE award from Dynata. RISE, which stands for "Recognizing Innovation in Survey Engagement," is an initiative of Dynata with the aim of improving the level of questionnaires. The RISE score is calculated across three areas of respondent impact (Efficiency, Engagement and Trust) and eight different variables.

Change is bad......(about Facebook's logo)
Facebook is changing its logo. From lowercase to CAPITAL and from blue to fading red. Now is that wise? Well, no, not in principle. Changing your brand's recognizability is always a bad idea, unless ... . Unless there is a well-reasoned argument for it. (N.B. that's different from a "good story"). And it is also taken into account that it takes time and costs money to get the recognizability back to at least the same level. In all other cases: don't.

How Brands Are
One brand is not the other. But the principles behind brand growth are the same for all brands. Sharp's How Brands Grow is called that for a reason and is particularly about the latter. In other words, behind the growth of Alfa Romeo and Volkswagen are the same principles. However, no one will argue that a Volkswagen is the same as an Alfa Romeo. Volkswagen has a different memory structure than Alfa Romeo. In short: a different brand.
