Inspiration for the KPN event The Digital Dutch
Every year, KPN organizes The Digital Dutch, the event for entrepreneurial Holland to discover digital innovations and new opportunities and gain inspiration. This year, due to the coronavirus, The Digital Dutch was forced into a new format and an online broadcast shared interesting insights to help Dutch companies and organizations move forward in their digital transition. The in-depth sessions that were originally to be held on the innovation floor of the event were offered in the form of 28 webinars. Here, key digital themes and practical applications for digital transition were highlighted.
Challenge
Every year, KPN creates content around the event with which it wants to inspire (potential) visitors. Besides presenting practical cases and innovations, KPN wants to inform visitors with 'news' and show that KPN knows what is going on.
In order to create relevant content, Blauw again this year conducted quantitative research among two target groups, namely working people in the Netherlands and people involved in digital transformation in their organizations.
Vision
Solution
Within these target groups, we examined the "state of the country" in terms of digital transformation. First of all, the research provides insight into the development of digital transformation in general. For example, how familiar is working Holland with digital transformation and what do people actually think about it? It also looks to the future using relevant propositions, such as the use of drones, self-driving cars and robots in healthcare.
In addition, those responsible for and involved in digital transformation are interviewed in order to uncover the main drivers, barriers and challenges. Various digital themes are also reviewed, from setting up IT security to optimizing the customer experience. Based on this, it becomes clear what focus companies have when it comes to digital transformation.
Repeating the research annually also allows us to track the development of digital transformation in companies. This provides interesting results, for example, when it comes to the priority of digital transformation within companies and their growth in digital maturity.
Of course, every year we critically examine whether the questions asked are still relevant or whether certain questions need to be added due to developments in the field of digital transformation. In close cooperation with KPN, we thus draw up a questionnaire that provides the desired insights.
Result
With the insights gained, KPN wants to further position itself as a Thought Leader and leading innovative ICT partner. In addition, the results will provide KPN with a robust basis on which it can always draw to answer questions from the business.
